Chennai: In a shocking incident, a city techie was set ablaze by her stalker at Adambakkam on Monday night.

While her mother Renuka suffered 50 percent burns, her younger sister Nivedhika suffered 20 percent burn injuries. As per sources, the incident occurred at 8.45pm on November 13 when the accused went to the victim's house and demanded she speak to him, but her family refused to let him into the house.

Induja's family too fell victim to his scorned rage as they tried to save her.

Induja's relatives alleged that Akash had been pursuing Induja against her wishes for almost a month. According to police the detained was pursuing the deceased, Induja, to accept his friendship for almost a month.
