Manchester City v Feyenoord preview: Pep Guardiola hunting top spot

Manchester City attacker Kevin de Bruyne admits they feel they're capable of defeating any team in the world.

Guardiola confirmed on Monday that John Stones, a mainstay of City's defense, could be out until the start of January with a hamstring injury sustained in the 2-0 win over Leicester on Saturday.

The England global faces up to six weeks out with a hamstring injury but fellow centre-back Nicolas Otamendi returns after a domestic suspension.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says it could be a "risk" to play defender Vincent Kompany when Feyenoord visit in the Champions League on Tuesday.

I'd be looking at a -4 handicap here given the quality of the players they can bring in, with Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan coming in fit, even if they are a bit short of defensive options. "It is a big pity we lost a month-and-a-half of Vincent Kompany and now John Stones".

"That doesn't mean we are favourites to win the Champions League, but it's nice".

"We don't have a big squad", he said.

Hundley is 1-4 in games he has played in since taking over for Rodgers, which didn't stop the Packers from talking positively. It was just a bad throw really. "It's good, but if we don't get in, y'all aren't even going to remember them".

Guardiola was keen to point out that making changes to his team was not a sign of City taking their foot off the gas.

Pochettino rejected the notion that his side are not good enough in big away games, however.

"I have an awesome squad with good players and everyone is going to play and I have to use the squad".

"They are two young players who I see in the training session every day they are ready", the former Barcelona boss added.

Maurizio Sarri, Napoli's head coach, and Leicester manager Claude Puel have both claimed that Guardiola's team are the best in Europe.

He said: "Many times we had good possibilities and good organisation and we need to keep this going for the future because it was promising, especially against such a good team in Manchester City and with the worldwide break as we didn't have much time with the players to prepare and work together".
