But the Micromax Bharat 5 is a clear cut victor when it comes to battery life. The Redmi 5A measures 140.4 x 70.1 x 8.35 mm, and it weighs 137 grams.

The Redmi 5A again looks to be the victor here as it comes sporting a 13-megapixel camera on the backwith f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus and LED flash.

Processor: The Bharat 5 is powered by Mediatek's 64-Bit 1.3GHz Quad Core Processor that not only delivers lightning fast performance but also optimizes power consumption and saves up to 30% power. At the front, the device flaunts a 5MP selfie camera with modes and a 83.3-degree wide-angle lens. The battery of Xiaomi Redmi 5A smartphone is 3000mAh. The device packs in a massive 5000 mAh battery. The Bharat 5 comes with OTG support which means the Bharat 5 also doubles up as a powerbank.

Operating system: Both the budget phones feature Android 7 Nougat. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS. After the introductory scheme expires, Xiaomi will sell the device at Rs 5,999 for the base variant and Rs 6,999 for the higher 3GB/32GB variant. They will get 1GB data per day along with free local and national calls with a validity of 28 days.

On the heels of Xiaomi launching their affordable Redmi 5A, another new handset from Micromax's ultra-affordable Bharat series, the Bharat 5 was rolled out for Indian consumers.
