The list of finalists for the Heisman Trophy was released Monday and it failed to include San Diego State standout Rashaad Penny.

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield, Louisville quarterback and reigning Heisman Trophy victor Lamar Jackson and Stanford running back Bryce Love were named finalists for the 2017 Heisman on Monday night.

Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville: Jackson is in the top 16 in the country in both passing (3,489) and rushing (1,443) yards with 42 total touchdowns (25 passing, 17 rushing). The senior quarterback has completed 71.0 percent of his passes, throwing for 4,340 yards, 41 touchdowns and just five interceptions.

Bryce Love of Stanford runs against California. Sam Darnold had a slow start to the season, but came on strong in the second half of the year as USC won its first conference championship since the Pac-10 days.

Penny is the nation's leading rusher with 2,027 yards and 19 rushing touchdowns and led the Aztecs to 10-2 record and berth in the Armed Forces Bowl against Army on December 23.

How Facebook made the Winkevoss twins Bitcoin BILLIONARES!
Former Olympic rowers Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss disclosed in 2013 that they owned $11 million worth of bitcoin. The digital currency retraced some of its gains on Sunday after hitting the peak.

He received the remaining two first-place votes in the survey.

Jackson's stats this season are nearly similar to his runaway Heisman campaign last season.

Mayfield's career passing efficiency mark of 176.0 would break the FBS record held by Bradford (175.6).

The Oklahoma Sooners and Georgia Bulldogs don't face off in the 2018 Rose Bowl for another four weeks, but Georgia fans are already going at controversial Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield pretty hard.

The victor of the 2017 Heisman Trophy will be announced Sunday night on ESPN. Next, Mayfield and the No. 2 Sooners will take on No. 3 Georgia in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
