PUBG Reveals New Miramar Desert Map

As PlayerUnknown's Battlegroundscreeps towards version 1.0 and its console debut on Xbox One next week, it's about to double its number of maps.

The post went on to give details on some of Miramar's key points of interest, shown in the above topographical map.

Meanwhile, the limited Xbox-exclusive "Warrior Pack" (pictured below) is available to buy now for $9.99/£7.99 until 10th December and includes a balaclava hat, camo t-shirt, pants and tennis shoes for customising your character.

Previously just referred to as PUBG's desert map, the second map for the game is called Miramar, a somewhat common name in areas of the United States named by Spanish and Portugese settlers.

Xbox said that these will be the only in-game items available to purchase during PUBG's Game Preview period - so no loot crates. Sparse terrain dotted by dense urban areas should force players to mix up their strategies if they want to make it to the end of the Battle Royale. For instance, Los Leones is a City Center and high vantage points flawless for sniping.

Another way to look at it: If the Saints go 3-1 the rest of the way, they win the division regardless of what anybody else does. The Saints now hold a two-game advantage over Atlanta , and sit one game ahead of Carolina for first place in the NFC South.

While teasers have been floating around for a while, this is the first official confirmation of the new locations you'll be plundering.

The new desert map has been a long time coming, but is finally due to arrive as the game finally reaches version 1.0 on PC, with an early access Xbox One release due on December 12. Monte Nuevo is described as a "well stocked compound" with ample cover for shootouts.

Miramar is in its final testing phase and should be deployed before PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is updated to v1.0. CEO Changhan Kim revealed that there is a "relatively strong demand for cosmetic items" but that the company "would never add anything that affects the gameplay".

In addition, Kim admitted that the amount of cheating in PUBG caught the company offguard. We are aggressively addressing this issue as our top priority.
