Indiana's total labor force stands at 3.32 million, and the state's 63.9 percent labor force participation rate remains above the national rate of 62.7 percent.

Minnesota's unemployment rate was 2.6 percent last month, while Wisconsin's was 2.7 percent.

The rate shows an increase from October, when it was reported at 5.1 percent, and a drop from 5.9 percent a year ago, states an Illinois Department of Employment Security news release. On the Coast, 7,670 people were unemployed in November, which is 1,000 less than the 8,670 people unemployed in November 2016. The area had 117,300 nonfarm jobs in November, an increase of 4,500 jobs, or 4.5 higher than a year earlier.

Over the year, Josephine County payroll employment gained 520 jobs, an increase of 2.0 percent and slightly faster than Oregon's overall job growth rate of 1.7 percent. The State of Ohio's rate of unemployment dropped from 5.1 percent to 4.8. Much of the job growth over the past year was in manufacturing (+150 jobs) and leisure and hospitality (+60 jobs). "And we're keeping our focus on creating a business-friendly environment that will continue to attract jobs and make Tennessee the No. 1 state in the Southeast for high quality jobs".

The numbers are a far cry from 2011, when the city suffered through the recession and peaked at 18.5-percent unemployment, the mayor said.

"Private-sector employers added 52,000 jobs in November and have accounted for the addition of 294,600 positions in Texas over the past year", said TWC Commissioner Representing Employers Ruth R. Hughs. It went up just 100 people, from 82,400 a year ago to 82,500 last month.

The Trade, transportation, and Utilities sector posted the largest gain for the month, with an estimated 800 positions added in November.

The EDD report stated the labor force in Stanislaus County was at 245,500, with 230,300 employed and 15,200 unemployed. The rate also was 0.5 percent lower than estimates from November 2016.

Twenty-four of Idahos 44 county unemployment rates were above the state rate in November.
