Taylor earned the 1997 Outland Trophy, given to the most outstanding interior lineman in the nation. But he learned Monday that he has already gained inclusion in the College Football Hall of Fame in December.

The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame announced jointly made the announcement Monday morning.

Woodson recorded 18 interceptions during his three-year stint at MI, and was drafted fourth overall by the Oakland Raiders during the 1998 NFL Draft.

Among recent Huskers inducted into the hall have been Trev Alberts in 2015, Tommie Frazier in 2013, Will Shields in 2011, Grant Wistrom in 2009 and Mike Rozier in 2006.

All honorees officially will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on December 4 in NY.

The deep class also includes 1997 Heisman Trophy recipient Charles Woodson of MI (1995-97) along with Miami safety Ed Reed (1998-2001) and Georgia Tech receiver Calvin Johnson (2004-06).

Woodson is the only player who played primarily on defense to win the Heisman Trophy when the cornerback won the award and later helped the Wolverines win a share of the national championship.

Dickenson's No. 15 jersey is one of only two retired jerseys at the school.

Among the three coaches selected for the College Football Hall of Fame was Mel Tjeerdsma, who led the Northwest Missouri State program from 1994 to 2010.

He led the Tar Heels to national prominence during the mid 1990s, and he later won the 2005 national championship with the Longhorns.

Texas' Mack Brown and Virginia Tech's Frank Beamer were among the notable honorees.
