Barcelona masterclass destroys Celta - Copa del Rey Round Up

Barcelona have cruised into the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey thanks to an emphatic 5-0 win over Celta Vigo in Thursday night's last-16 second leg at Camp Nou.

Barcelona became the final team into Friday's Copa del Rey quarter final draw as a first half blitz saw them beat Celta Vigo 5-0 at the Camp Nou.

With Philippe Coutinho to come into this side, there are no signs of this remarkable campaign losing momentum for Barca.

Messi turned provider in the 28th minute, sending a pass over the top to Alba, who was able to score at the near post.

The evening got even better for the forward a couple of minutes later, as Alba once again found space down the left and teed up Messi, who finished routinely.

Manchester United haven't made a bid for Lucas Moura
The pursuit of a right winger has been a lengthy one for Manchester United . Lucas Moura has reportedly agreed to join Manchester United.

"I hope we have Leo for a while, he has been at a spectacular level for 12 years", he said.

"The connection between Messi and Alba is nothing new, it has been working for years", Valverde said.

Moments later, Barca grabbed their fourth goal on the night when Luis Suarez pounced on Pione Sista's poor back pass before slotting past Alvarez.

Celta improved a little after half-time but the damage had been done long before Rakitic's header completed the rout, meaning Barca will join Deportivo Alaves, Leganes, Real Madrid, Espanyol, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid and Valencia in the last eight.

Valverde's chosen squad for the game includes Jasper Cillessen, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Nelson Semedo, Gerard Pique, Javier Mascherano, Thomas Vermaelen, Jordi Alba, Lucas Digne, Sergi Roberto, Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic, Iniesta, Paulinho, Andre Gomes, Carles Alena, Messi, Suarez, Ousmane Dembele and Jose Arnaiz.
