Emoji 11.0, the latest and greatest list of tiny characters that will define your online communications for the next year, has been finalized. The story was reported by Portland, Maine news station WMTW following an announcement by the Unicode Consortium (the emoji-governing body), which says that it will add the crustacean in its next round of updates.

The lobster isn't the only new emoji that will remind people of summer in Maine. Users can expect to see support for these new emoji rolling out in the second half of 2018. Android release dates are a little less predictable, but before the end of the year is a good bet.

For the first time, Emoji 11.0 includes options for hair color and style on different emoji. Yeah, that's right. There's curly haired, red haired, and bald emoji now.

The Unicode Consortium announced 156 other new emojis Wednesday besides the coveted lobster, including a pirate flag, a softball, a female superhero and a mosquito.
