Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 5 And Redmi Note 5 Pro In India

Xiaomi on Wednesday launched two devices - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Price in India is Rs. 9,999 for base 3GB RAM variant and Rs. 11,999 for 4GB + 64GB model.

Xiaomi has launched the Mi LED TV 4 in India, its first television on the Indian market. If you're using a Redmi Note 4 that's still in good condition, the Redmi Note 5 may not have enough on offer to justify the switch, but the Redmi Note 5 Pro might be worth it. The two phones are the successor to last years Redmi Note 4, that went on to reportedly become the largest selling phone in India.

The Redmi Note 5 is in fact the India-variant of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, which was launched in China in December previous year.

Xiaomi's India fans have been waiting for the Mi TV for a long time now and it is probably the only television in the recently history to have so much anticipation.

Inflation unchanged at 3% adding to interest rate hike pressure
ONS senior statistician James Tucker said: "Factory goods price inflation continued to slow, with food prices falling in January". Inflation in the food and beverages segment of the CPI eased marginally to 4.58% in January, from 4.85% in the previous month.

The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 (55) price is said to be around Rs. 39,999. However, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is what we are actually interested in because this is the next generation Redmi Note 5 in true essence.

Android Central discovered that judging by the specs, the Redmi Note 5 is essentially a rebranded Redmi 5 Plus featuring the same Snapdragon 625 processor, 4000mAh battery, and the same memory combinations: 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. Under the hood is the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform with custom Kryo 260 cores. The Mi TV 4 will be available to buy from Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi Home stores, starting February 22. The TV also has speech recognition and voice control, but, since it is only available in China as of now, it doesn't work with the English language.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2, a 1.25-micron pixel size, PDAF, EIS, and an LED flash module. For selfies, it comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera with LED flash. Since this is a Redmi series device, there's MIUI 9 atop Android 7.1 Nougat, which is depressing considering some of its rivals, including its own brother - the Mi A1, is enjoying Android Oreo.
