Official Twitter app for Windows Phone finally adds push notifications

Notifications have been finally added to the official Windows Phone Twitter app. Version 1.5 allows you to customise Toast notifications. The notifications appear in the same way a text message appears at the top of the screen.

The options include Mentions, Favourited tweets, Retweets, Direct Messages, and New Followers.Sadly, there's no counter to see how much activity is going on in the world of Twitter from the tile but it will flip round to show the latest tweet that mentioned you. Twitter's new logo has also been added.
