Box has released an official Windows Phone app for its popular file collaboration and storage service. The free app makes it easy to view, share, edit, and comment on files. Box also uses an app-specific passcode as an extra layer of security.

With Box, sharing large or sensitive documents with co-workers and clients becomes a lot easier. The app offers some Windows Phone-exclusive features, such as slideshows and Live Tiles notifications for updated files. According to the app makers, over 120,000 companies - including 92% of Fortune 500s - rely on Box for simple, secure collaboration and content sharing.

Other features:

  • Send an important file from an elevator

  • Perfect that preso on the plane

  • Comment on a co-worker's document from a taxi

  • View updates to your files instantly

  • Proof a PowerPoint right before the big meeting
