Our favourite independent UK phone retailer Phones4U has announced that it will be selling the Samsung Omnia M as of the 1st August. Regular readers will know the we hold Phone4U in high regard when it comes to effectively displaying and selling Windows Phones. The Omnia M couldn't have landed in safer hands. Scott Hooton, Chief Commercial Officer at Phones4u said:

We are delighted to exclusively offer the Samsung Omnia M, Samsung's latest handset running Windows 7.5, two months before it will be available via any other UK retailer. Our track record of launching Samsung devices and Windows Phones is incredibly strong and our dedicated Samsung zones in our Oxford Street and Westfield London stores provide the ultimate destination for anyone wanting to buy this Samsung device with Windows Phone.
The Samsung Omnia M was initially available in the UK via pre-order from online retailer, Unlocked-Mobiles as the Omnia Minuet. Unlocked Mobiles were asking for a cool 249.98 GBP for the Tango devices. Phones4U will have the device available on Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone with prices starting from £26 a month, including 100 minutes, 500 texts and 250MB of data.Although a Tango device, The Omnia M comes with an impressive 4 inch Super AMOLED display. We expect the Omnia M to soon hit the sub-150 GBP price range on pay-as-you-go as soon as it's picked up by mainstream carriers. This will put it in direct competition with the Nokia Lumia 610 and 710 and bunch of low-end Android devices, which can only be a good thing for Windows Phone. The more devices in the price range, the better. As a reminder, here are the specifications:
- Screen: 4.0" Super AMOLED display
- Processor: 1GHz
- Storage: 4GB
- RAM: 384 MB
- Camera: 5 MP (Main) with flash / VGA (Front)
- Battery: 1500 mAh
- Dimensions: 121.6 x 64.1 x 10.5 mm
- Weight: 119 g
