With the impending announcement of Nokia's Windows Phone 8 devices edging ever so close, proof of their existence can be found if one bothers to look. The only device that has been pictured so far is the Nokia "Phi" that was leaked via a Chinese forum. Since the image of the Nokia "Phi" emerge, debates have been raging in blogs and tech site, mainly regarding the size of the device among other things. LiveSide have managed to find a Nokia design patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office website, only recently granted two days ago on August 21 (pictured above). The patent design appears to resemble the Nokia Lumia 800 or 900 but closer inspection of details such as the location of the speaker and the width of the screen's edge reveals that this is actually the Nokia "Phi".
The Nokia Phi is expected to feature a 4.7" curved screen, polycarbonate design, a dual-core processor, SD card slot and NFC support. The device appears to share same design as the Nokia Lumia 800 and 900, which we don't think is a bad thing at all. What do you think? Let us know at the bottom.
