With the impending announcement of the new Nokia Lumia devices just a cuople of days away, the rumour train has gone into overdrive and photo leaks are coming off the woodwork. Initially, we suspected Nokia were going to be announcing two devices, the Lumia 910 and the Lumia 920.However, it has since emerged that although Nokia are still announcing two devices, they are going to be the Lumia 920 and Lumia 810 rather as seen on the images (above) leaked by tweer user @evleakes.
The Lumia 920 will feature a1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and an 8-megapixel camera. Nokia are also expected to unveil a second handset, the smaller Lumia 820. The Lumia 820 is said to have a 4.3-inch display, compared with the 920's 4.7-inch display.
The big surprise is that both will reportedly support wireless charging, but while the Lumia 920 will indeed be branded as a PureView device, as suggested last week, it won't be in anywhere near the same league as the 41MP Nokia 808 PureView. The PureView label refers to advancements in image stabilisation and on-board camera software that the handset brings to the table so the 8MP PureView should be the best in its league.
Nokia has so far failed to optimise imaging on their Lumia range as seen with the Carl Zeiss bearing Lumia 900 which failed to live up to expecations. We were hoping the PureView techonology was going to be rought to Windows Phone in its full 41MP glory as surely giving a significantly lesser camera the PureView name devalues the prestige that the label currently carries. What do you guys think.
