WhatsApp for Windows Phone updated to v2.8.2

WhatsApp for Windows Phone has been to updated to version 2.8.2. Having returned to the Windows Phone Marketplace last month after a brief period of absence, the messaging application appered to have brought back a few bugs from its untimely leave.

The update doesn't appear to be offering much in the way of new features but some users have noticed a new icon for the group and status. The hanging bug doesn't appear to have been fixed yet and neither does the scrolling when typing a long message.

As with all updates, it might be a while yet before you get the Marketplace tile prompt in your part of the world, but if for one reason or the other you are desperate for it, you can always induce it by: going to Marketplace => search for WhatsApp => select WhatsApp => hit the back button => and select WhatsApp again and the update will magically show up. Let us know should you find anything interesting in the update.

Want the app? Simply hit the download button or use Bing Vision to scan the QR Code with your Windows Phone.
