Microsft developing Instagram app for Windows Phone 8?

September 12, 2012 at 13:52 GMT | By John Williams

Instagram could be coming to the Windows Phone 8 platform according to The Verge. The photo editing and sharing application was originally launched on the iPhone but has since been bought by Facebook and is now available on Android devices.

A version of the application for Windows Phone 8 is apparently already in production. Microsoft is supposed to be making the application themselves - much like they did with the Facebook and Twitter apps - because Instagram owners are not keen on investing their resources on the Windows Phone ecosystem. One would have thought that the applications owner would be in a rush to get their application working on one of the best camera smartphones, the Nokia Lumia 920.
