Huawei were announced as one of the four Windows Phone 8 launch partners alongside Nokia, Samsung and HTC. Samsung and Nokia have already revealed their devices whilst HTC is expected to follow suit on the 19 of September. Beside the announcement they made three months ago, not much is know of Huawei's plans for Windows Phone.

More details of Huawei's plans have been revealed by Chinese Windows Phone site Winp.cn. Apparently, Huawei are going to announce a Windows Phone device called the Ascend W1. The device will come in black, white, blue, and pink colors and the design will be different from Huawei Ascend Android device P1/D1. the device is expected to launched in November in Europe, China and the United States.

No doubt the Ascend W1 will not get the same attention and coverage as the Nokia Lumia 920 of the Samsung ATIV S but if it hits the right price points and is launched in the right markets, the Ascend W1 may be as successful as some of the other Windows Phone 8 devices. Will you be looking out for the Ascend W1? Let us know below.
