Want Windows Phone 7.8 on your Windows Phone right now? There is a ROM for that...

If you are really impatient and can't bear to wait any longer for the Windows Phone 7.8 update to hit your device then this could be your lucky day. For the benefit of those that have been living under a rock for a while: current Windows Phone devices will not receive the Windows Phone 8 update, instead, they will get a middle-of-the-road update called Windows Phone 7.8 which features the Windows Phone 8 start screen and a couple other yet unknown features. The official update is expected to reach all Windows Phone 7.x devices before the end of the year.

Still interested? Ok then, one WinPhoneViet.com has ROMs ready for the HTC Titan, Samsung omnia 7, Samsung focus, and HTC Mozart. Be warned though, the process is involving and is definitely not for the faint hearted. Needless to say, it is going to render your manufacturer's warranty (and possibly insurance) virtually worthless.

Should you be brave enough to do it, let us know how you get on.
