Leaked training videos reveal Nokia Lumia 920 as a 6-month exclusive with AT&T

A number of Nokia Lumia 920 training videos intended to get AT&T sales reps up to speed with the new Windows Phone 8 handset and operating system have been leaked to WPCentral by an anonymous AT&T source. The videos don't offer much in the way of new or yet-unknown features but confirm what we have all been suspecting regarding the Lumia 920's exclusivity to AT&T.

The videos confirm that the exclusivity deal will only last for six months, meaning as early as May of next year, carriers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and U.S. Cellular can pick the device up if they wish to. Unfortunately, with the way smartphone life cycles go these day, the Lumia 920 will probably be last year's phone, with last year's specs, literally. Also, it would mean that those that purchase the device after May can only expect 12 months of support and updates from Microsoft.

The videos also give an overview of the Lumia 920 highlights such as the PureMotion HD+ display, 8-megapixel PureView camera, NFC, LTE and wireless charging.

It's still to be seen whether Nokia's strategy of handing exclusives to carriers will bear fruit. Do you think six months is too long a time to wait for the Nokia Lumia 920? Let us know in the comments.
