Verizon's HTC Windows Phone 8X will support wireless charging

Seems like Verizon has been keeping a few Windows Phone 8 secrets of their own. First they announce a Samsung Windows Phone 8 devices that no one suspected they would carry, and now it has emerged that their version of the HTC Windows Phone 8X will feature wireless charging.

Sources close to The Verge have revealed that the carrier will offer the support as a variant that will likely be exclusive in the US and that the device will retain it's slim profile despite the feature being on-board.

The Nokia Lumia 920 is the first Windows Phone to feature wireless charging. The feature is one of the unique selling points of the Lumia 920, alongside PureMotion HD+ and PureView technologies. HTC was accused by many of copying Nokia's designs. Although Nokia doesn't own the technology behind wireless charging, we doubt they will be pleased with the latest development.
